Dress it all up with bedding, add wall lamps on each side of the bed and put two storage cube ottomans in the room to serve several purposes such as a coffee table, extra storage for linens, pillows and blanket.

Daybeds can be great in an alcove, especially with bookcases on either side. They are perfect in a home office, a sitting room that doubles as a guestroom, or wherever space is limited.

As the mercury is going up down here, I can't help fantasizing about the ultimate accessory for indulging in those lazy moments on hot summer days. A versatile piece of furniture perfect for everyday life and for entertaining, with indoor and outdoor versions. A daybed is like the LBD of furnitures, the epitome of glam.

  1. I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
I was wondering for a daybed for my new apartment, I spent hours looking at every furniture store within an hour radius of my home. My friend recommended that I visit her favorite online furniture store, www.ezbuyfurniture.com.I am wondering if you have heard of the site www.ezbuyfurniture.com? I have never used this site but would love your opinion about if you think this site would be a good resource for purchasing day beds.

  2. @ Reina: Hi, glad that you like the blog:) No, I've never heard of ezbuyfurniture.com, but I visited the link you sent and I saw one similar to the white iron bed like the pottery barn one! Although, I always hear DIY bloggers rave about craiglist...You might want to check second hands before deciding. Who knows, you might find something for a fraction of the cost, good luck with your search;)
