Green Wall

I. Love. this. You would think that green walls are meant for big commercial spaces or grand houses, well, this green wall is used in the transition space of a teeny studio! It's the perfect way of economizing floor space, while still bringing in greenery. Additionally, the plants will help decontaminate the air in the urban environment. Green walls or Living walls, which can be complete ecosystems or a simple arrangement of plants, are much like green roofs, THE green design element you would want to make a step towards green living. Check out interior landscape designer, Patrick Blanc, who specialises in building vertical gardens.

Best of Daybeds

Pottery Barn

Dress it all up with bedding, add wall lamps on each side of the bed and put two storage cube ottomans in the room to serve several purposes such as a coffee table, extra storage for linens, pillows and blanket.

Daybeds can be great in an alcove, especially with bookcases on either side. They are perfect in a home office, a sitting room that doubles as a guestroom, or wherever space is limited.

A daybed with a trundle can be used as seating during the day and a bed for two when necessary.

As the mercury is going up down here, I can't help fantasizing about the ultimate accessory for indulging in those lazy moments on hot summer days. A versatile piece of furniture perfect for everyday life and for entertaining, with indoor and outdoor versions. A daybed is like the LBD of furnitures, the epitome of glam.

La Case

La case is a new publication by the group "La sentinelle", which is a major newspaper and magazine publisher in Mauritius. And am excited to say that at last and better late than never Mauritius has its first magazine dedicated entirely to interior design and decor. Of course, I subscribed and so far, so good. Little snippets... of a tropical flower composition, and other table decor, which I am inclined to try for the festive season ahead.

Simple Decorating Details for Entertaining

Greenery...

Corals and Seashells...
Loving these two simple decor ideas for dressing up a table, both requiring you to go out, either for a stroll on the beach or a walk in the garden. (1) Pick up a few leaves in some interesting shapes and sizes and place them in a vase filled with water (2) Collect a few corals and pile them in tall vases or a few seashells in order to dress up the chandelier.

LEGO brings brickwork& mosaic to a whole new level

Parisian designers Simon Pillard and Philippe Rosetti proved with their chromatic Munchausen Lego Kitchen, which is based around an Ikea island that has been outifftted with more than 20,000 Lego pieces. The entire process took the designers more than a week to complete! But, the results were well worth the effort, don't you think? Also, additional decor pieces have been incorporated by the designers.

Women don't run out of clothes, they run out of ideas.

And their wardrobe get choked up coz of lack of space, and organisation and surely coz of the emotional attachment to things resulting in not wanting to let go of any of that 80% they're not wearing. I don't know who I am kidding in talking "they" instead of "I".
So, which brings us to...

Walk-ins

with their Storage Units

&Space saving ideas

but which require space

Traditional closets

which are sadly, effective only if you're ready to purge the 80%

Designs for compact living

...which, hey, can be a great new addition to store the 80%.

And either two solutions, (1) I purge ruthlessly for the next few days, the needed time I estimate to work on the amount of things I have stacked and stylebakery has this guide (2) I start designing my own walk-in and go DIY on the fabrication and for this, I need all the help I can get!
